RISERS had the honour of participating in the STAND4EU Final Event in October 2024, co-hosted with HSbooster. This event was a dynamic gathering aimed at strengthening the integration of standardization in research and innovation, focusing on improving the pathways from research outputs to actionable standards.
The event gathered a diverse group of stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, and SME representatives, all dedicated to enhancing standardization practices and fostering impactful collaborations between research and standardization efforts.
The event covered several critical topics aimed at elevating the role of standardization in research:
- Promoting Awareness and Building Expertise: Discussions centered around raising awareness about the importance of standardization across various sectors and building expertise among stakeholders.
- Bridging Research and Standardization: Strategies for seamlessly integrating research with standardization were explored to enhance innovation and industry relevance.
- Overcoming Key Challenges: Addressing essential issues such as funding allocation, engaging SMEs, and providing strategic support for standardization within research.
- Introduction of the STAND4EU Portal: Launched as a central hub, the portal offers training resources, insights, and tools to support organizations aiming to align with standardization best practices.
As an advocate for strategic collaboration, RISERS helped explore how standardized practices can be utilized to enhance the impact of research activities.
By contributing to panels and discussions, RISERS was able to align its goals of promoting inclusive standardization and driving knowledge-sharing initiatives with STAND4EU’s vision.
