From June 19 to June 21, 2024, the 28th EURAS Annual Standardisation Conference took place in Delft, The Netherlands. The theme, “Comprehensive Standardisation for Societal Challenges,” explored how standardisation can help design and optimise complex innovation systems to tackle some of today’s most pressing issues.
Organised by Delft University of Technology, Erasmus University, Eindhoven University of Technology, Tilburg University, and NEN, the conference gathered academics, practitioners, and policymakers. The event featured keynote speeches and various sessions and workshops focusing on the strategic, management, and energy aspects of standardisation. Prof. Knut Blind RISERS partner Fraunhofer ISI and TU Berlin attended the conference and distributed RISERS project leaflets to participants. The conference showed how important standardisation is for tackling societal challenges and how projects like RISERS can help create innovative solutions.
